Meet Dr. Bruce Haggerty
Dr. Bruce Haggerty started Leisure Dental to help people relieve their dental pain, to improve and maintain their healthy smiles, and to provide affordable dental care to communities in need in the Norfolk, VA area.
He believes that through patient education and proper oral care patients can reach their smile goals.
Born in Germany and raised in Dallas, Dr. Haggerty has always aspired to become a dentist.
He earned his bachelors in biology with a minor in chemistry from Prairie View A&M University. While there, he participated in Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society and was also an active member in his university pre-dental club. Afterward, Dr. Haggerty attended Texas A&M College of Dentistry where he earned his D.D.S.
Currently, he has affiliations with the American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association.
While in Texas, Dr. Haggerty met his now wife, who was stationed there in the United States Navy. Soon they received orders to move to Virginia and where they started their new life together in Hampton Roads.
In his leisure time, Dr. Haggerty enjoys working out and attending his local church. He is also very active in the community with the Norfolk Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alphi Psi Fraternity Inc.
